Hmmm... sounds like the title of a television show. Oh well. So, it's been almost two weeks since I last posted. It's too hot to do anything around here. Or maybe my blogging inspiration just fizzled out. Either way, I'm sorry. I really hate it when someone whose blog I visit doesn't post for days and days (and no I am not pointing any fingers). Also, I decided I was tired of my current background/banner. What do think of the new one?
Now, I'm done with the blog-type confessions so now it's time for the seamstress-type confessions.
This is quilt I just finished for a lady at our church. It is made from her late father's shirts. Here's the confession part: she gave me the materials for it one year ago and for some reason I kept putting it off and putting it off. Then the guilt (and my father) stepped in. There, I've confessed. It wasn't as hard as I thought it would be.
And here it is.
The quilt I mean.
Finished.
The end.

This was delightful to read! It takes me forever to get around to finishing sewing projects too. Sometimes I will go on a sewing frenzy and make several items in a week. Then nothing for months. Even though projects call me, I ignore them.
It's beautiful! You did a really good job on it, Caroline! :-)
Wow Caroline, I really like this quilt. How meaningful and special to the lady whose father passed away. I know she will always treasure it !
What a good idea, (making quilts out of old shirts, I mean). I love the embroidery around the edges.
I just recently stumbled across your blog, and I love it. It's beautiful and very inspirational. Thanks!
Looks great! I know you're glad to have that off your hands!!

I love the new banner! it's beautiful!! So is your quilt! The lady who gets this is very lucky! I love all the blues that went into it!
The quilt is wonderful, Caroline. I love the blog! What template did you use?
Thank you so much ladies for your kind words!
Emily, I just kept messing with the template until I was happy. I really don't know exactly what I did!
I love the scripture that you stitched along the outer edges of the quilt, Caroline! I am sure the lady you made this lovely quilt for will appreciate it and treasure it forever! I love the new background and header by the way. I'll send you an e-mail soon! ;)
This quilt will definitely be treasured; what a creative idea! Blessings!
The quilt turned out absolutely beautiful - your esthetic and heart are written all over it and sewn right into it.
