First Snow

It's been a lovely morning thus far. First there was this:

I know, it's not much. And it only stuck to the roof and walkways. But it's still snow! I can't remember the last time we had it this early in the year.

Then there was this:

Lark Rise to Candleford season 4! Since Masterpiece released it's extremely disappointing Classic season list (half of what their showing are reruns!) it's nice to have something to look forward to.

Then I found this:

I want this so bad it hurts. really. bad. And looking at the price (almost $300 per box!) makes me want to cry. So I'll just look at the picture and try to ignore the price tag.

On another note, I have a folder on desktop labeled "Christmas Gifts 2010" with pictures of everything I've made and bought so far just waiting to be revealed come January. I'm working on two gifts right now (one sewn and one knitted) after I finish those there are just three more to make and then I am done! Done, done, done!

: -)  : -)  : -)

(My brother insists that smiley faces need noses. What do you think?)

Notes.

Hello! Long time no see. Sorry about that. I've been thinking lately about blogging. What I like about it and what I don't. Like all "pleasurable extras" there is no point in my doing it if I don't enjoy it. Don't worry, I'm not going to quit! I like to blog but I don't like feeling that I have to do it. So, I will not be doing my two weekly posts any more. I will write about what's on my mind when it's on my mind. That way I won't fell that I have to do anything. I think it will give me a little more freedom. Last but not least I'd just like to say "thank you" to all of my readers!

See you soon!

Oh No!

I was afraid this would happen one day! I posted something on the wrong blog! Oh, well. At least it wasn't anything embarrassing! I have a private blog I share with two friends, one of whom moved last year. We use it to chat and share pictures. That was the where my last post on this blog was meant to go. Sigh... guess I need to pay more attention in the future!

Wrapping Up

I wrapped a birthday gift the other day. I'm going to make you guess where I got the paper.

A Hint: It was free.

Is there an award for being a Really Rotten Blogger? Because if so I probably deserve it! Yes, I am apologizing again for not posting! Oh well, such is life, right?!

1884 Magazine Article

These scans are from a periodical published in 1884 which my brother picked up at a yard sale. Enjoy!

Tomorrow...

Is the beginning of a new year.

Right now...

There is no sin in that year,

There is no suffering in that year.

It is clean.

It is fresh.

It is a blank page.

On that page...

I will write,

My family will write,

My friends will write

and

My heavenly Father has already written.

Many blessings and hopes to all who stop here for a very happy New Year!
With Love, Caroline

Christmas Gift Teaser #2

Hello all! So sorry to have been absent for so long. I have been very busy with all things Christmas-y. As you can see I have been knitting (quite a lot actually) and, as I enjoy viewing movies while I do such things, I have also been watching Little Dorrit, one of my favorites!

Going now, back again soon!

I've decked my halls...

What do you think?

Also, I'd just like to mention that I made it all the way through Nablopomo! I posted every day in November! Sometimes it was hard to find something to post about and with going out of town I had to figure out how to do scheduled posts. But, all in all, it was pretty fun! Here are a couple of other people who participated:

Emily
Lillian

Great job girls! Thanks for all the inspiration! I really enjoyed reading your daily posts!

Take My Life and Let It Be

Take my life, and let it be
Consecrated, Lord, to Thee;
Take my moments and my days,
Let them flow in ceaseless praise.
Let them flow in ceaseless praise.

Take my hands, and let them move
At the impulse of Thy love;
Take my feet, and let them be
Swift and beautiful for Thee.
Swift and beautiful for Thee.

Take my voice, and let me sing
Always, only, for my King;
Take my lips, and let them be
Filled with messages from Thee.
Filled with messages from Thee.

Take my silver and my gold:
Not a mite would I withhold;
Take my intellect, and use
Ev'ry pow'r as Thou shalt choose.
Ev'ry pow'r as Thou shalt choose.

Take my will, and make it Thine,
It shall be no longer mine;
Take my heart, it is Thine own,
It shall be Thy royal throne.
It shall be Thy royal throne.

Take my love, my Lord, I pour
At Thy feet its treasure store;
Take myself, and I will be,
Ever, only, all for Thee.
Ever, only, all for Thee.

I hope everyone had a beautiful Lord's Day!

Thursday, November 19, 2009

I just thought I would share a new blog with you tonight. Earlier today it was brought to my attention that Salley Mavor, one of my favorite designers, has begun an online journal. And if you do absolutely nothing else you must have a look at this post. Isn't that project simply amazing?!

It was a good mail day.

You can expect some new Notes in the near future.

Are You Ready? I'm Not!

I was just browsing through Anthropologie's selection of Christmas ornaments. Why is it that as soon as Halloween is over everyone is ready for Christmas? I'm certainly not! Even so, here are some of my favorite ornaments:

Nablopomo

I was reading on Emily's blog that November is National Blog Posting Month. There is a challenge to post every day in November. Think I can do it? We'll find out!

Autumn Lovliness

Breakfast: Oatmeal with apples, tea and a delightfully large dose of Dickens!

Ahhh! The colors of beautiful fall weather!
