Hello everyone! I am Kate, also known as the lucky girl who gets to drag Caroline all over Europe for the next couple of weeks! Today was THE day I have been looking forward to for a verylong time. Mom, Connor and I made the trip to Brussels International airport to pick up Caroline and Mrs. Wendy! (minus their luggage...long story.) Then we whisked them off to the town center of Brussels to start the day off right with a Belgian waffle. 200 pictures, a couple pairs of shoes and WAY too many postcards later we made our way back home. Now we must go and pack for our trip to Paris in the morning (yep, you heard me, Paris!)
Well, a bientot for now! We'll see you in a few days!
We are safely arrived in Belgium! I am sitting next to Kate in her famliy's beautiful home! Unfortunately we had a little mishap on the way and our luggage will not arrive until tomorrow. So, though I have the camera (and 200 pictures!) I cannot upload them! Today we toured Brussels and Mons and I will post pictures as soon as I can!
I have begun this blog in order to share with you, my family and friends, pictures and stories of my travels in Europe. I am so grateful to my Heavenly Father, my parents and to Kate and her family for giving me this opportunity to explore new places! I am so excited to be able to visit with my dear friend and see the beautiful places she has long been describing to me via the internet!
I am so glad you are here to (sort of!) share in my trip!
"Blessed is the man
who walks not in the counsel of the wicked,
nor stands in the way of sinners,
nor sits in the seat of scoffers;
but his delight is in the law of the LORD,
and on his law he meditates day and night.
He is like a tree
planted by streams of water
that yields its fruit in its season,
and its leaf does not wither.
In all that he does, he prospers. The wicked are not so,
but are like chaff that the wind drives away.
Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment,
nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous;
for the LORD knows the way of the righteous,
but the way of the wicked will perish."
-Psalm 1 (ESV)
In this psalm the "way of the righteous" is clearly defined. We are not to associate unnecessarily with sinners or sinful things (the old creature) but instead we are to dwell on God and His law (the new creature). We are to be an example to others around us and stand along side those who follow the Lord.
