Brussels - Part Two

Kate, Miss Mia and Conner met us at the airport (minus our bags!) and insisted that a whirlwind tour of Brussels was just what we needed to cure our jet lag! The "Part One" pictures were of Brussels' Grande Place and the cafe where we ate breakfast. Let me tell you, the words waffle, cream and hot chocolate will never mean the same thing to me again!

These pictures are of the Gallery Saint Herbert. Built in 1847 it was the first shopping mall in Europe! King Leopold I laid the first stone with a golden trowel. The glass roof is 656 feet high. My favorite shop was the book store which sold mostly art and travel books.

Oh, I wish you could have seen that book store Lillian! You would have died! Beuatiful books, and most of them were actually in English (a rarity in all of the other book stores I've been to!).
