Outfit of the Day (OOTD): Friday

I follow a few blogs who post OOTD's. I like looking at theirs. So I thought I'd try it. For a little while anyway. I know that some people think that "in the mirror" are a bit cheesy (no, I'm thinking of anyone in particular...... promise......) but at the moment I don't really have a choice.

The following are some notes about my bedroom:

Note #1: I share it with Mary Laurence, hence the baby dolls.

Note #2: I do clean my mirrors but there is this person in my house who really likes to put their hands all over my mirrors so I can either live with the smudges or clean the mirrors twice a day. I choose to live with the smudges. I'm sure she'll grow out of it. Eventually.

Note #3: The chair you see in the mirror is very ugly. It is also very comfortable. I have fabric to make a slipcover for it but I've been putting off the making of said slipcover for some time now. I don't like to make slipcovers. I will try to remember to move the chair out of view in the future. And maybe clean the mirrors a little more often. Just a little.

Okay, enough of that! On to the outfit. We have...

Cardigan - Yard Sale, $.10(?), Originally from Talbot's.

Dress - Made by me, Fabric was second hand and I think it's a Free Spirit print, Pattern is Amy Butler's Liverpool (gift from my grandmother) with some alterations as the fabric was in two pieces so alterations were necessary in order to cut everything out, $5 (I had to buy the buttons).

Belt - Made by me, No pattern, Made from ribbon given to me by a friend, $0

Jeggings - Belk's, Altered by me from ankle length with zippers (yuck!) to capri length with cuffs, $7.50

Boots - Amazon.com (it's amazing what you can find on there!), from Madden Girl by Steve Madden, $75 and let me tell you I so got my money's worth! I've worn them for three years and they are still going strong!

Earrings - Gift from a friend.

I perosnally love mirror shots but have yet to master the art of taking them! I love this outfit, it's so springy and pretty!

I agree with KatySue! I also love the mirror shots, Caroline. I love the old doors in your room....and surprisingly for a girl who doesn't really love pink all that much I love that the door and frame is PINK!! i need to sew a dress. End of story.

@Sarah, I really want to paint the walls 'cause they're pink too. My room was my sisters' room but we switched. My old room was green with pink accents and now, well, I'm a little overwhelmed by the all the pink!
