Christmas Sewing Camp 2009 - Monday

Last night was the beginning of camp! I had two students plus two more who had signed up for a different day but something came up so they came last night instead.

We had so much fun! I am looking forward to tonight's class!

Sewing Camp - Day Five

Good morning! I have a confession to make to you today. I forgot to get pictures of the last day of sewing camp. You can hit me if you want, I've already hit myself so a few more slaps shouldn't matter!

Instead of having a project on Friday we decided it would be a "finishing up" day and to celebrate the end of a week of successful sewing we had a tea party. Only two of the girls had things that needed to be completed so while I helped them Lillian showed the other students how to make felt scissors keepers using the pattern from Between Friends by Charlotte Lyons.

Though I didn't, as I said, get pictures from the actual camp Friday I did get a couple of pre-party shots. Enjoy!

Today we made pajama pants. Pants can sometimes be confusing but all the girls did a great job!

Sewing Camp - Day Three

Skirt day! It was also a rather interesting day as we had no AC downstairs. We pulled out a couple of fans so it wasn't all that bad. The girls all did a great job on their skirts, I think it was the first time some of them had used a real pattern.

See you tomorrow!

Summer Sewing Camp 2009 - Day One

Outside there is drenching rain, inside there is one tired sewing teacher! Don't get me wrong though, it was a good day! Today we made nine-patch pillows. The six girls all did a wonderful job and I hope they are all looking forward to tomorrow as much as I am!
