Sewing for Spring: Blouse the First

I finally finished the project I had started on before I got sick. The pattern is Simplicity 2696. It was a fun and slightly challenging project. The only thing I had to buy for it was the buttons, everything else was in the closet.

The colors of the fabric are truer in the second picture. I still can't believe I didn't even have three matching button!

Beautiful! Your skills are just wonderful! Having set my hand to garment sewing in the past I look at you as some kind of "god" (JK). What a talent you have my dear!

Sometimes.. if only for a moment, when I see the garments you have just finished.. I get this thought.. oh! I must sew a dress, or a shirt or whatever it is!.. THEN reality sets in and I stick with my quilting.

Awww, your so sweet! Just for the record, my quilting isn't anything to yours. Squares and rectangles are about all I can handle!

I love the fabric - is it like a tunic?

How did I miss this post? I scrolled down a bit today as I played one of the songs on the playlist and saw it. Anyway, I love the blouse! Bet it looks perfect on you! Glad you are feeling better at last.

What a lovely blouse! The buttons add such a nice finishing touch to it.
